Best and Worst Make-Up Removers

Removing your make up at the end of the day is a pain in the backside or it is for me anyways I’m really lazy and just don’t like doing it, But we all know we have to do it to achieve flawless skin. I like to wear waterproof mascara and eyeliner and they’re a nightmare to remove if you don’t have a good remover. I have a few best and worsts for you in my opinion that work and don’t work for me.

Collection (2000) Lasting Colour Lipstick

017 018 020

Collection or Collection 2000 as it was formally known, could be my favorite ‘drug store’ make up brands. Their lasting perfection concealer is known to be incredible and I also adore their nail polish and eyeliners too but I had not used any lip products by them until I stumbled upon this wonderful lipstick when I was out shopping with a friend. I got this around two weeks ago and according to the lady in the store it only went out on the shelves that day so I think I can say its a new product. Now enough of the back story into the review…. Sleek Blush by 3 pallet

028 029

This is the Sleek Blush by 3 pallet called Lace 367 and it’s honestly the best blush I have ever used.

The shades in the pallet each have different names the orange coral shade on the left is called ‘Chantilly’ the middle shimmery pink is called ‘Guipure’ and the pink coral shade is called ‘crochet’  they’re all lovely colours and they feel smooth on your skin and you only need to use the smallest amount of product as their so highly pigmented.

I apply these using a real techniques blush brush and I later go over the top of the blush with whatever is left on my foundation brush because their so pigmented and I’m so pale it’s the only way I feel comfortable wearing the colours, you may like really bright blush and if you do I bet it looks amazing but I’m just not that brave.

I love the middle shade ‘Guipure’ the best because I don’t have to put foundation over it, it’s still highly pigmented so they key this is to use a light hand while applying.

I bet this blush pallet would look great on every single skin tone and the best thing about this pallet is that its affordable! it costs just £9.99 for three very pigmented blushes that’s a bargain and I think that their so much better than MAC blushes and a lot more pigmented.

The downside to this product is that sleek is a UK only brand and can only be bought a Superdrug but they do have a website and I think if you pay extra they will ship out to some countries.

I hope you enjoyed this post my apologies for it being later than usual feel free to tweet me

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation

031 032

Laura Mercier mineral powder foundation is quickly becoming my favorite foundation! Although that sounds great this product isn’t cheap so I’m afraid to like it to much even though I’ve already fallen in love with it!

They actually make a shade that perfectly matches my skin and they have one shade lighter than my shade again  ( I wear Tender Rose) so it’s perfect if your ultra pale like me and I do believe they go pretty dark as well so it’s just an all round perfect product.

It gives light to medium coverage without looking cakey and you can go up to full coverage with it as it’s easily built up but I don’t do that because that’s what I use concealer for.

I love that It doesn’t take more than two are three minutes to apply and I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply it with and you honestly don’t need a lot of the powder to do a nice even coverage all over your face.

It feels really light on your skin and feels like your not wearing anything at all which is great for the warmer weather but I feel like I’ll wearing this all year around. I don’t feel the need to set this foundation as it is a powder and I lasts all day.

Laura Mercier’s goal is to create flawless looking skin and I feel it does that. It has an SPF of 15 in it and no it dose not look shiny in pictures.

It does cost £31 which for me is a lot of money on foundation but It was my Birthday recently and I treated my self. I do feel it’s worth and the lady at the counter told me it lasts for a around five months and if it dose last that long I’ll  be repurchasing it.

So far I’m very impressed with this product and I would recommend it to almost everyone. I would suggest a moisturiser if you have  dry skin and a primer but I use them anyways and really no matter what your skin type you should be using them anyway too.

I got my foundation at John Lewis but you can get it in many other places see below.

I hope this post was helpful and question please feel free to comment or tweet me!

Bronzer Mayhem

Summer time means tanned skin, that is unless your like me and remain unfortunately pale. I have to use bronzer all year around just to look alive. I’ve been using the four (well three ones a skin finish) bronzers pictured above for a while now and I’m going to give my thoughts and how well they last and how they blend.

April Favorites!

iphone 1 007

May is here! by the time you wonderful people read this it will be the 2nd of May or maybe the 3rd depending on if I’ve written my presentation for university yet.  I love the month of May so many good things happen, the weather gets nicer, the day gets longer and my birthday comes around again. So with that going on this month I needed to remind my self what was good about last month, among a lot of good and bad goings on I found some great products in beauty, skin care and food ( some healthy and others not so healthy). I know you may be thinking I don’t really do favorite post and yes thats true but I don’t buy new products every month and I like to try things out for a long time before I decide I like them.  So here are my favorite products from last month.
